A bit of a latecomer Doctor Who, I hopped aboard the TARDIS in 2015 and promptly fell way down the wormhole. Doctor Who helped me get through periods of grief and other big feels related to divorce and other losses. The show, the universe, and the fandom have been a beacon of hope for me ever since.

Outside of Doctor Who, I enjoy tabletop games and cards, live music, podcasts, speculative fiction of all kinds (my favorite book of all time is Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood), teaching, traveling, watching hockey, random acts of kindness (former GISHer), perfect shots of espresso, making and eating great food, and puns (even if the puns aren’t good, I'll probably snort-laugh anyway).

In my grown-up life, I'm the Director of Undergraduate Programs in Psychology at the University of North Dakota (which is a weird way to confess that I secretly love paperwork). I love to teach—most frequently torturing students with statistics, research methods, and professional development courses. Occasionally I also get to teach cool stuff like Psychology of Women and Gender, Psychology in Fiction, or Human Sexuality. I also volunteer as a presenter and workshop facilitator on topics such as sexual health, power exchange, and other related topics in my local alternative lifestyle community.
